"Montego and Leontien van Moorsel"

Since 2009 the Dutch cycling legend Leontien van Moorsel is the new face of Montego and we are extremely proud of that. You will see her in our commercials and at various events. We have also launched a number of unique Leontien van Moorsel bikes. The designs for the Leontien mama and city bikes were all influenced by her own experiences as a professional racing cyclist and a mother.

Having had a career in the top sport for many years, Leontien could not just sit on her laurels. Inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Dutch province of Brabant, where she cycled so many training kilometre, she thought up an idea for a cycling event, together with her husband Michael Zijlaard. The main point being that it should be enjoyable and healthy at the same time.

This has resulted in the Leontien Ladies Ride. A cycling course, for women only, and everyone can join in regardless of age, ambition or the type of bike. A variety of other sports' and entertainment activities will be organized as well.

In 2005 the Leontien Ladies Ride was held for the first time in the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, followed by another one near Rotterdam. Since then the Ladies Ride has become increasingly popular, not only in Brabant, but also in the rest of the Netherlands. Four Leontien Ladies Rides are planned for 2010. These will be held in the cities of Rotterdam Alexander, Amsterdam, Zwolle and 's-Hertogenbosch.

AA-Cycling Team

In January 2009 Michael Zijlaard started a new concept which includes a track and cyclocross team. BeOne takes part in this concept as a supplier. The group is active both on tracks and in the open country by the name AA Cycling Team.

Leontien Ladies Team

Since 2009, Leontien van Moorsel has a ladies' racing team consisting of ten female riders, besides her own pleasure ride (Leontien Ladies' Ride). Leontien.nl is a team which brings together mainly young talents. The fourfold Olympic champion personally provides these girls with training schedules and tips. The aim of Leontien.nl is of course to coach young talent for serious racing.

Midi Center Ruiter Cycling team

In April 2009 the Midi Center Ruiter Cycling team was officially presented. BeOne is the bike sponsor of this young, talented team.

Beebikes

The BeOne Beebikes mountain-bike team has been using BeOne bikes for three years now. The team is professionally coached by the Stichting Zeeland Cycling Support. This foundation fosters young talented mountain-bikers guiding them towards a career at the top by offering both material and social support. The coaches have trained the BeOne youth team for many years and there are a number of ex BeOne top cyclists amongst them. The aim of the BeOne Beebikes coaching-team is to train young talent for the top.
